The Story
Our client, Coghlin Companies, has a subsidiary company Columbia Tech that recently expanded their facility in Westborough, MA. Columbia Tech added 68,000 sq. feet to the location and created a considerable number of new jobs at the same time, making this a success story for everyone involved! The expansion will allow Coghlin Companies to best serve the diverse interests of their customer base, providing warehouse, distribution, manufacturing and office space. The new facility is state-of-the-art and built with stringent quality assurance and compliance policies to ensure world class contract manufacturing to their customers.
Our Part
As for Applied Interactive’s part in this success story, Senior Account Manager, Sarah Fisher, wrote the release that was picked up and circulated by news sources. The expansion coupled with job creation in our recovering economy drew interest as a success story of local business growth.
Representing Applied Interactive, Sarah met with the Editor of The Westborough Patch and Coghlin Companies’ to facilitate an interview with Jim Coghlin and facility tour with David Keeler at the Westborough location. The interview covered in depth the benefits of business and job growth in the community of Westborough and the likelihood that Columbia Tech will expand further in the near future. Columbia Tech cited a recent project for a large technology company that will require new facility space relatively quickly, and will spur the creation of even more new jobs.
